A man was left with a broken nose and a broken cheek bone after being attacked in broad daylight in an “opportunist and unprovoked attack” in Epsom High Street.

The victim was walking past TK Maxx in the High Street between 2pm and 2.10pm on Sunday, April 24, when police said he was attacked by two men.

The two suspects are both described as white and in their late teens.

The first was slim with short, light brown hair. He was wearing a dark grey zip-up hooded top and carrying a small black bag over his shoulder.

The second suspect is described as being of medium build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a light grey long-sleeved top and a black scarf around his neck.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack.

PC Ashley Eyden said: “The assault took place on a Sunday afternoon in a busy town centre and I am sure there would have been several people who saw what happened.

“This appears to have been an opportunist and unprovoked attack which has left the victim with serious injuries.”
