An Ashtead mother is putting on a series of fundraising events for charities that have helped her, as well as her family and friends.
Pauline Llewellyn, 40, of Loraine Gardens, is raising funds for Tommy’s, Princess Alice Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
When her first child, James, was stillborn, Tommy’s - a charity that funds medical research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth - helped her to see a positive future.
Ms Llewellyn said Macmillan Cancer Support helped her and her friends as they watched family battle cancer, while Princess Alice Hospice in Esher helped care for her father near the end of his life.
To show her gratitude, Ms Llewellyn has organised a charity screening of Mamma Mia at Odeon cinema in Epsom on Sunday, and a gala dinner later this year.
She said: "You just never know when you might need the support of a charity and raising awareness and raising vital funds for them ensures they are there if you need them."
Mamma Mia will be shown at Odeon cinema in Upper High Street, Epsom on Sunday, October 11 from 10.30am.
