A late-night multi-vehicle crash saw a busy main road in Epsom closed for over an hour yesterday.

Epsom Fire Brigade’s Red Watch were called to the B280 Rushett Lane on the border with Kingston at 11pm to reports of a three car collision.

They were a white panel van, a black Honda Insight and a red Ford Fiesta.

They arrived to find the ambulance service had already got all the drivers and passengers to safety but the road had to be closed until 1.20am while the vehicles were removed and a fuel spill cleared up.

The Metropolitan Police were in charge at the scene and a spokesman confirmed this morning that nobody had been seriously injured in the incident.
