An auction is being held tonight in memory of a "lovely" mother and son killed in a car crash.
Nicola Morris, 29, and Kai Arnold, 11, died in a head-on collision on a bend in Banstead Road, Ewell, on Saturday, July 5.
The fatal crash left the community in shock and tributes flooded in for the well-loved schoolboy and his mum, who grew up in Woodmansterne.
Tonight, August 29, an auction will be held to raise money for a memorial bench in their memory and for a trust fund for Ms Morris’ other young son, Alfie.
Event organiser Pat Johnson, a friend of Ms Morris' mother, said they have 20 auction lots, 10 silent auction lots and 75 raffle prizes.
Ms Johnson said: "I have been absolutely inundated with donations and friends helping out. I have been astounded by it.
"It’s gone from a little thing to a huge event. Hopefully it should be a success."
Head down to the auction at Woodmansterne Sports Club, in Woodmansterne Lane, Woodmansterne, from 7pm.
Children over 11 years old only.
